Cuando Cubango is a vast territory that occupies an important geostrategic position in Southern Africa. It is transected by a hydrographic network of great environmental importance to the famous Okavango Delta.
The creation of this Tourism Development Plan for the Province’s Government intended to assess the territory, identify its tourism potential and define a sustainable tourism strategy for this Angolan province. Essentia defined a set of actions and strategic instruments to implement in the territory, which will sustain the province’s development as a tourism destination capable of attracting other markets and different tourist profiles. The project targets the national market as well as the neighboring countries involved in the KAZA project, an initiative sponsored by UNESCO to develop sustainable tourism in the Okavango delta.
